I have a 124 with T-Bar but want to replace the T-Bar with extra buttons. How do I remove the T-Bar with damaging it?

Can you send the mouse pointer to a specific spot by just a key press using the X-Key?

Can I assign a Shift and a key for one button?

Do you have any plans to make a version of the L track track ball with a bunch of X key buttons on it? Would love to see that.

Do these trackballs have onboard memory, so that once you program them, you can unplug them, and they will perform the same action, regardless of which computer you plug it into? Or are the macros/programming stored in software on that one specific computer that they were programmed on?

I think i watched on the last video, but i want to have a clarifycation. All three tracballs have a light inside but only thing that makes the color difference is the ball?

I would have thought the threads would be threaded inserts, given that disassembly is an intended action as part of maintenance. As careful as you can be, these plastic threads *will* give out eventually. This could be sees as a form of planned obsolescence.

does this work on SP4?

What's the size of the screws? I'm thinking about replacing the screws on mine with Torx screws to make service easier in the future.

during calibration tool will not recognize independent brake is on full for 2019, but works fine for TANE. any ideas? ["Calibration results out of bounds.Make sure that Bail OFF is held in place(pushed right) for the complete calibration (approximately 3 seconds) i'm not doing the bail off, and even when i try the bail off for full, it still won't work, i'm just trying to get independent brake full to calibrate first, 1-2 for independent calibration went fine.

So on the note of train controllers... When is the RailDriver going to be revised and improved? It's not an inherently bad design but the material quality is lacking and the capacitive resistance design is a bit convoluted - a lot of it could be done with more reliable tech like encoders.

I find it interesting that there was no mention of wiping the ball itself with alcohol to remove hand oils and such... Wouldn't that be useful as well?

Not really that helpfull. Having trouble with the auto brake . Would have been better to show the positions as it says release position then asks for off which Seams to actually be full on.

Wish you guys did RGB on your 80 key pad. This would be perfect for my home Sim pit but my OCD would be in overdrive if it didn't match the other green lights on my other peripherals. I guess I'll have to look elsewhere for now.

Huh was going to contact support about my “new” ltrac being absolutely covered in scuffs (actual physical damage to the plastic, not something that can be washed off) that make it look like a used unit (not even a refurb) but judging by 0:29 in this vid that’s how they all look. Honestly guys that is completely unacceptable for something so expensive. If for some reason you simply can’t store them in a more delicate and professional way you could at the very least have someone buff/polish them once assembled. And if you can’t even do that it is just scummy as hell to use clean, non-scuffed units in your product photos when you know full well you aren’t shipping something that will ever look anywhere even close to that clean.

this product has a great potential but unfortunately their documentation is very lacking and even their forum is not up yet , it is impossible for some one like me who has zero skill in programing to make use of such great device

Before you reach for the screwdriver, you can also give the ball a few brisk, swirling strokes, which will knock most or all of the debris off the rollers. That alone has kept my L-Trac rolling smoothly for years now.

I have the two external switches (Auxiliary S-Button) you make. Very nice indeed. However, they would benefit from being higher up, meaning less finger stretch from the trackball. Has anyone made or printed a black plastic, stick on base for them? More aesthetically pleasing than any old lump of wood. Finally... yes, the quality on these trackballs is superb, and works out of the box with Arch Linux.

Quality Control took a nosedive after X-keys took over the LTRAC from CST. I had to order two - the first one had erratic mouse motion and a chipped ball - and both look pre-owned out of the box with lots of scratches and divots. My original CST model looked and worked like new for almost 10 years.

What's the story about how/why L-Trac was bought by what seems to be a couple with a company called X-Keys?

couldn't your team re-jigger these to have 4 more button switches on them? As is with just 2 buttons, these are not useable for the vast majority of us. The reason the CST were never bought in any volume is due to this severe limitation. The Expert & slimblade with just 4 buttons is also severely limited. Because we are so used to mice with at least 7 buttons (right/left clicks, back/forward navigation, left/right scrolling, and ideally midlick for continous scrolling), these antiquated devices with just 2 clickers like those rudimentary mice from 1985 will never sell enough to be worth it for your company. Please consider it.

The ltrac is simply the best trackball. No other trackball is built like that.
